Free Design: Crystal Pear Drop Earrings

Follow our free step by step instructions and learn how to make a pair of beautiful Crystal Pear Drop Earrings. Materials Needed for red and gold Crystal Pear Drop Earrings

5g Size 11/0 Gold Silver Lined seed beads ( S1132 )

10 x 3mm Siam Crystal Bicone Beads ( CPB390090-20 )

10 x 5mm Siam Crystal Bicone Beads ( CPB590090-24 )

2 x Ear Wires ( LBWGP )

Tools required 

Size 13 beading needle ( ND13 )

Chain Nosed pliers 

Beading Mat ( BMT )

A sharp pair of scissors ( SCIMX )

Legend

A = 3mm crystal beads  B = Size 11/0 seed beads C = 5mm crystal beads

Instructions

1. Take a comfortable length of stretched beading thread ( we used about 60cm), and thread on a beading needle. Thread 1A, 6B,  loop around and pass back down the 1A - to create a little circle of seed beads, leave a 10cm tail ( photo 1 ) 

2. Thread 3B, 1A, 1B, 1A, 1B, 1C, 1 B, 1C,1B, 1C, 1B, 1C, 1B, 1C, 1B, 1A, 1B, 1A, 1B, 3A ( photo 2 )

3. Loop up and through the 1A from step 1 ( photo 3 )

4. Pass around through the 5B again and down through the 1A ( photo 4 )

5. Pass down through the 3B, 1A, 1B, 1A, 1b ( photo 5 )

6. Pick up 5B, miss the 1C, and pass through the next 1B ( photo 6 )

7. Repeat the previous step ( photo 7 )

8. Pick up 6B, circle around and pass through the 3rd B you just picked up. This creates a little circle ( photo 8 )

9. Pick up 2B, missing out the 1C, pass through the next 1B ( photo 9 )

10. Repeat step 6 twice more ( photo 10 )

11. Pass up through the next 1A,1B, 1A, 3B 

12. Circle around the entire thread path twice more to strengthen. Trim the beading thread close to the beads, so the end isn't visible ( photo 11 )

13. Using chain nosed pliers, open up the loop of an ear wire, and loop it onto the top of your earring, close the loop ( photo 12 )

14. Repeat all the steps again to make a matching earring!

OR, you could make another one, and thread a chain through the top loop to make a matching necklace!
