Free Instructions: Bloom Bracelet

Choose your size 8/0 seed beads, pick your beading needle and thread, follow our free step by step instructions below and learn how to make this sweet bloom beaded bracelet. Once your have learnt how to make one little flower, keep repeating to make a whole string! We made bracelets, but you could continue your flowers to make a necklace. Materials needed for Bloom Bracelet - Blue

5g Size 8/0 Silver Lined Seed Beads - Soft Blue ( S844 )

5g Size 8/0 Silver Lined Seed Beads - Dark Blue ( S842 )

3g Size 8/0 Matte Metallic Seed Beads  - Silver ( ME831 )

2 x 5mm jump rings - silver plated ( JR5SP )

1 x extension and trigger ( EXCH5SP )

5g Size 8/0 Silver Lined Seed Beads - Lime  ( S828 )

5g Size 8/0 Transparent Seed Beads - Hot Pink ( T822 )

5g Size 8/0 Pearlescent Seed Beads - Cream ( P820 )

3g Size 8/0 Matte Metallic Seed Beads - Gold ( ME32 )

2 x 5mm jump rings - gold plated ( JR5GP

1 x Extension Chain & Trigger ( EXCH5GP )

Tools Required 

Size 10 beading needle ( ND10 )

A sharp Pair of scissors ( SCIMX )

A beading mat ( BMT )

Chain nosed pliers 

 

Instructions:

Legend: 

A - metallic seed bead     B - coloured seed bead

1. Take a length of stretched beading thread, pick up 4B, 1A, move along your thread so you have a 20cm tail ( photo 1 )

2. Pass back through the first B you picked up in step 1 ( photo 2 )

3. Pick up 3B and pass through the last B you picked up in step 1 ( photo 3a ) pull so the beads sit snugly ( photo 3b), maintain this tension throughout 

4. Change the colour of your B seed beads here if you would like your flowers to be different colours. Pick up 1A, 4B, 1A ( photo 4 )

5 Pass through the first A you picked up in the step 4 ( photo 5 )

6. Pick up 3B and pass through the last B you picked up in step 4 ( photo 6a & 6b )

7. Continue steps 4-6 changing the colours of the beads for every flower as you wish ( photo 7 )

8. When you've finished your length of flowers, make sure you finish on a step 7. Pick up 1A and pass back through the next 3B ( photo 8 )

9. Pass back through the thread path for this end flower again to strengthen. Pass back through the thread path for the length of the bracelet again, to strengthen, and to tighten tension where necessary. 

10. When you reach the end flower at the other end of your bracelet, exit half way between the 7Bs, pick up 1A ( to match photo 8 )and pass back through the next Bs. Weave around your end flower again to strengthen. Weave in and secure your threads.

11. Using chain nosed pliers, open up a jump ring, loop it onto the end Aa and the trigger clasp, close the jump ring. Repeat at the other end with the second jump ring and the extension chain ( photo  9 )
